Ruth M. Michelson, 83, of Temperance, MI, and formerly of Russell, PA, passed away Tuesday, November 5, 2013, at Windhaven Eldercare in Temperance, MI. Born February 2, 1930, in Tionesta, PA, she was the daughter of Jesse and Hanna Bell (Kitelinger) Mitcham. Ruth was a registered nurse at the Pennsylvania State Hospital in Warren, PA for over 20 years when retiring in 1997. She enjoyed sewing, cooking, but most of all her grandchildren.
Ruth was preceded in death by her parents. Surviving are her loving children, Jesse (Paula) Jones, and grandchildren, Nicholas and Katherine Jones. Visitation will be from 11:00 am-1:00 pm Saturday, November 9, 2013 at the Michael W. Pawlak Funeral Home, 1640 Smith Rd. (at Jackman) Temperance, MI, where services will follow at 1:00 pm. Interment will follow at Bedford Memorial Gardens. The family wishes to thank Hospice of Northwest Ohio and Windhaven Eldercare for the loving care given to Ruth and her family. Memorials may be made to Monroe County Special Olympics, Area 34.
